BDA / Business Development Asia

BDA

Business Development Asia is an investment banking firm and advisor for international mergers and acquisitions, distressed situations, private placements, capital raisings, valuations and financial restructurings.  Headquartered at 1270 Avenue of the Americas in Rockefeller Center, BDA has teams of dedicated professionals located across Asia, the US and Europe.

As part of the headquarters office upgrade BDA contracted Green Mountain Graphics to manufacture and install both door and reception area signage.  The door sign is water-jet cut polished brass, the reception area sign is laser-cut acrylic painted to match BDA's Pantone specified logo color.  Additional signage work included the application of "etch-look" vinyl graphics to the glass wall of the conference room, and an engraved brass suite sign plaque. Bill Pullano, Director of Finance & Operations at BDA stated, "We were impressed with the quality and attentiveness to detail by Green Mountain Graphics.  Our signage looks very professional and the Green Mountain Graphics staff was very helpful in making suggestions and accommodating our specific needs."

Dr.Suet Wu D.D.S.

BDA

A specialist in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Suet Wu recently moved into a newly designed office in Bayside, New York. The finishing touch is a 23" high x 70" wide sign with raised plastic lettering and a colorful digital print mounted to a custom cut acrylic background.  The new sign, in English and Chinese, presents a cheerful welcome to Dr. Wu's young patients.

A native of Queens, NY, Dr. Wu has a bachelors degree in Child Development from Cornell University, and a degree in dentistry from Columbia University.  Commenting on the sign, Dr. Wu said "Our wall looks amazing, all the kids like the cartoons, so the parents love it."

What mood do you want your graphics to convey?  Light and playful?...serious and responsible?...Green Mountain Graphics has a signage solution to create just the right impression for you.  With our huge range of options, we can combine multiple fabrication techniques for that perfect "one of a kind" sign.

Focus on: Gold Leaf

BDA

Green Mountain Graphics was recently honored by being selected to install the Papal Crest, and the Crest of the Archbishop of New York, on the glass doors of their office suite of the Catholic Center on First Avenue in Manhattan.  The crests are genuine gold leaf, with silkscreened and hand painted details.

Gold leaf is a traditional form of signage, now used for only the most prestigious installations.  The earliest known use of gold leaf dates back to the Ancient Egyptians, who applied gold leaf to the pyramids.  Today, gold leaf is manufactured by combining solid gold with varying amounts of silver or copper to achieve a specific effect.  The process is partially automated, and partially relies on traditional craftsmanship including hand-hammering to a thickness of 0.025 - 0.028 mm.

The process of creating gold leaf signage is time-consuming and requires a unique combination of craftsmanship and artistry. The steps include priming the surface, applying the base color, applying the "size" or adhesive that is used to adhere the gold leaf to a surface, and then applying the leaf.  Finally, a protective coat of sealant is added as the finishing touch.

Few sign companies offer gold leaf signage today. We are pleased to be recognized for the excellence of our artisan's work by the Archdiocese of New York, among other customers who demand the very finest signage.

When you want signage that is truly special, consider gold leaf.  We offer a variety of gold and silver leaf finishes, and have the expertise to create signage that is extraordinary.  Green Mountain Graphics is your one-stop source for all your signage needs.
